Start trying everything! Don’t think that only because it fits other people it won’t fit you as well, you’ll never know unless you try, right? And doesn’t matter if it looks terrible on the hanger, clothes can be really trick when they’re not on the body.

So about the wardrobe, as you said you haven’t developed a style, you should start buying some basic pieces that you find interesting and that you think fits you, also you can keep them in basic colors as black, beige, white, brown, off-white, nude and of course, put some strong colors among with them after while, when you see what you appreciate, what colors and what type of clothes you like.

Also you can mix the basics with a lot of accessories, it is a good way to go, a good way to not look like static or repetitive and also a way to improve your creativity.

Try to filter the trends you like and mix it with trend from other years, basically bring the new and work it with what you already have. If something you have now doesn’t look good or is out of time, don’t throw this away, keep it, fashion comes and go all the time, but if you really want to change the piece, google some DIY projects and have fun!

Last tip: Look for famous people you like and take as inspiration (not a copy and paste), bring it to your lifestyle and your personality, mix everything, try everything and oh, if you’re not sure about something, take the simple till you feel confident enough to push the limits!

Hope it helps!! xx

Vintage embrace too many decades ( mainly 50’s, 70’s, 80’s, etc), so it depends a lot on which decade you want to look like. Although, the place where you can buy the clothes are pretty much the same: Vintage Shops, or if you know how to sew, you can make them by yourself.

The key here is get some old stuff (really old, in the decade you want to look alike) you just mix with new stuff if you don’t want to look like you’re stuck in 20’s, for example, lol.

  • 50’s; high waisted, round dresses, a-line skirt, but nothing too long or too short. You can mix the old dress with a new belt, for example. Pin-up girls are included in this decade too.

The biggest example I can give you is Dita von Teese, she has a great glam-vintage-retro style.

  • 70’s: Similar to hippie chic, mainly high waited flare jeans, blouses, hats, clogs, wedges and all the things I said here. Rachel Zoe is the great example here, though she’s more modern than vintage. If you want to go real vintage, then follow the hippie chic tips.

Some photos: photo 1 photo 2 and all the photos in the other post are useful as well.

If you want any other decade, let me know. I just typed the most wanted ones.

If you’re talking about sneakers- destroyed clothes- leather-destroyed hosieries - this is the further I can go. I may be very very wrong, tho.

Anyway, I’ll tell you what I know: It’s very casual. T-shirts, destroyed pants and shorts, shirts, leather jackets, everything you can imagine, to be honest. Instead of writing too much, I’ll show you a lot of different style in photos:

Ps: Miley Cyrus, Emma Roberts, Taylor Momsen are good examples for street style, I guess.

I really hope I helped :)

The basics: Maxi dresses, tunics, destroyed denim, full skirts, peasant skirts ,ethnic prints, blouses, there’s country influences too, country boots, gladiator sandals,  anything with fringes, a lot of leather, oversized jewelry and glasses, hats, headbands , wide belts, scarves, Jeffrey Campbell shoes…

If you don’t want to look too much hippie you can mix anything above with something more fashionista. That’s the key: mix hippie clothing with something more glam, fashionista or even classic.

Some celebrities and photos for you: Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Nichole Richie, Olsen Sisters, Vanessa Hudgens… They’re a great source.
